The second annual Zumiez Best Foot Forward Am Contest Series presented by Boost Mobile has grown legs of its own and were just getting started! Phoenix wasnt on this years list as the Zumiez Couch Tour 2008 schedule was announced, but there was no way that we couldnt come out to one of the best skate scenes in the country. We set up a one-stop renegade jam session event at the Rio Vista Skatepark just before the rest of the tour took off. New to BFF this year is an open qualifier at each Couch Tour stop for the first 20, who want to take that one giant leap for Am kind. Its just another way that we can get more skaters involved in our events. Four of those guys advanced to our regular BFF invite contest for a chance to win an all expense paid trip to The Finals this year in Minneapolis and a 0 Zumiez gift certificate. Back to the Phoenix stoptricks were stomped down the 10 stair and rails! Alan Garrison had a smooth style and Jeff Smith had some unique flair with willy grinds and a board slide to feeble too. Quinton Q-Tip Hall was a crowd favorite as he landed all of his warm up trick
A spectacular performance caught on tape by the Booger Fairy and the world famous Diarrhea Band. This rare event was at the 2009 Renaissance Festival outside of Phoenix Arizona. For those of you who played baseball out in the school yard during your youth, you may recognize this classic tune.

It means that “Oh Lord, whatever happens in my life, I am sure that you will always be good to me..”.

Phoenix Arizona (AZ) skateboarding, Wes Novack, 3 stair lines. This spot is north of Van Buren and east of 15th Ave. It’s sortof in a neighborhood. It’s actually a military property. There are a bunch of tanks and other military vehicles in a fenced off lot right nearby.

Rickson Masih and James Thomas singing at the “Mahima Ho Yishu KI” concert organized by Bethel India Church of Phoenix, Arizona (www.ipcbethel.org). The song is “Zari shrishtti ki Malik..”, in Hindi. It means that “You are the master of every creation”. You can see that by the end as James sings along in Malayalam, the audience sings along with the singers. It was great to be in the presence of the Lord!
